Beauty for ashes

ISAIAH 61:3
“To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified”.

Ashes are simple powders that remain after things have been burnt. It is what remains after something substantial has been totally burnt off, leaving nothing to itself, you can’t even hold it, it has no substance to hold up.
Is there hope again for anyone if something precious has been destroyed or damaged? If the fire of hell razed down the glory of a life, what else could be done?
If you have been robbed emotionally, virginity taken away from you forcefully or by exploitation… did someone who professed 300% love for you get you pregnant and then treated you like thrash and could care less if you survive his recommended abortion? Have all the loved ones in your life been snuffed off by death …father, mother, siblings… leaving you all alone??? Fear not! Over and again, fear not! Why? God has made a provision of BEAUTY for ASHES.
Not just restoration, but with decorations of glory and beauty. See Ruth 1-4 (yes, read the four chapters!). A young widow followed her mother-in-law into a future that looks bleak, but because God was involved, she took the divine package of BEAUTY for her ASHES. You don’t have to mourn in ashes, you don’t have to conclude the end is here, you don’t have to die where you have fallen, get up! God has a plan to redeem you, see it in Isaiah 35:1-7.
How to come about this turn around? Take these simple steps… Ruth took them; Rahab took them and guess what? They were changed for the better.

1.     Don’t run from God. Run to HIM.
Matthew 11:28-29    “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
God will NEVER cast you away! See John 6:37    “All that the Father giveth me shall come to me and he that cometh to me will I in no wise cast out”
2.    Don’t hide in shame, confide in the anointed that is righteous and raised by God to help you. I know someone you can talk to. You can send a mail to oyenikeareogun@yahoo.co.uk
3.    Feed on the diet of redemption from God’s word. Meditate on God’s word about you (Jer 18:1-6, Eph 1:3, John 8:1-11, Isa 60:15-19)
4.    Detach from the relationships of your ‘woes’. If you were sexually abused, emotionally wasted, assaulted, financially exploited or whatever the case may be, separate yourself, yes you can! (II Cor 14:17). Don’t camp with your oppressor, he will terminate your life, flee from him.
5.    Begin a sweet fellowship with the Holy Spirit, worship God, pray in the spirit, wait on God and catch a glimpse of the future God has for you (Jer 29:11).
6.    Don’t forsake the assembly of the saints (Heb 10:25). Hang around Christian folks, I pray God will give you Godly friends in Jesus’ name. stay in church, get involved, don’t stand afar off… let God find you in His presence-public and private.
It is time to come out of shame and flourish in glory, things can be good again! YOUR DESTINY IS STILL POSSIBLE! Jesus is Lord.
